England ready to send robot to the moon

England ready to send robot to the moon – A British-led consortium will send research robots to the moon within 10 years.

The £500 million cost of the project is expected to come from public donations.

In return, donors will be able to have their photos, texts and DNA in a time capsule that will be buried beneath the lunar surface.

This project, called Lunar Mission, aims to research whether humans can occupy the south pole of the Moon in the future.

A number of renowned scientists and organizations support the plan. These include Professor Brian Cox, astronomer Lord Rees, and Professor Monica Grady from the Open University.

David Iron, who led the project, admitted that he took the initiative to do this because the government was increasingly having difficulty funding a number of space missions.

“Anyone in the world can get involved in this project, even if they only donate a few pounds. Lunar Mission One will make a major contribution to the understanding of the origins of our planet and the Moon,” he said.

The team hopes to raise funding by £600,000. The public can channel donations through the international site service Kickstarter in the next four weeks to fund the initial stages of the project.

Over the next four years, funds received through donations from the public will be able to equip the robot with digital storage space for short messages, pictures, music and videos.

They will also gain immortality by sending a strand of hair, which the team claims can last for a billion years.

A short message costs just a few pounds, a photo costs a few tens of pounds, while a short video costs £200. Hair sample delivery costs £50.

This space robot contains a digital archive of human history and science that will be compiled as a legacy that will last.
